The Craigellachie Hotel Copper Dog (75cl, 40%)

The Craigellachie Hotel Copper Dog is a blended malt Scotch in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV. It was created at the Craigellachie Hotel in Speyside in collaboration with Diageo, and blended by Master Blender Stuart Morrison. It brings together no fewer than eight Speyside single malts, matured in refill American and European oak, first-fill bourbon and rejuvenated casks, then married in old oak casks. The name comes from the copper tube distillery workers once used to carry whisky home, which also gave the hotel's bar its name. The nose is ripe orchard fruit, berries and citrus with sweet wood. On the palate come toffee apple, caramel, vanilla fudge and soft fruit, and the finish is delicate and spicy.
