This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from The Dalmore, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is first matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, which give a base of soft vanilla and honey.
A proportion of the spirit then moves into Sherry casks, some of which previously held aged Oloroso Sherry, adding to the richness of the whisky.
The aroma is of citrus fruits, chocolate and aromatic spices. The palate shows Seville oranges, dried fruits and hints of vanilla pod, and the finish brings roasted coffee and dark chocolate.
