The Dalmore Select Edition 2010 is a 15 year old single malt, bottled at 49.1% ABV. Select Editions are annual releases of hand-selected casks, each reflecting a particular year at the distillery.
The whisky was matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, then finished in hand-selected Matusalem sherry casks and Vintage 2010 Amoroso sherry casks.
The aroma is honeysuckle, sugared almonds, fresh brioche and mandarin, with a little cacao. The palate has creme brulee, apricot tarte tatin, golden sultanas, red liquorice, white chocolate and cassia bark. The finish brings candied citrus, madeleines and muscat grapes, with soft ginger and baking spice.
