The Dalmore – 17 Year Old (70cl, 42%)

The Dalmore 17 Year Old is a Highland single malt bottled at 42% in a 70cl bottle. It matures first in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. It is then finished in three González Byass sherry casks: Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem, each adding fruit, spice and dark sweetness. The nose is typically described as orange oils, treacle toffee, dried fruit and polished oak. On the palate come dark fruit, roasted nuts, rich toffee sweetness and warming spice. The finish is silky and lingering, with chocolaty oak and sherried depth.
