The Dalmore 17 Years Old (70cl, 42%)

This is The Dalmore 17 Years Old, a Highland single malt from the Principal Collection, in a 70cl bottle at 42% ABV. It is matured first in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then finished in selected sherry casks: Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem, from a collaboration with González Byass. Colouring is used. The nose brings ripe fruit, Seville orange and fine wood spice. On the palate come poached pears, forest berries, toffee and orange marmalade, and the finish carries dark chocolate orange, dried fruit, cinnamon and nutmeg.
