This is The Dalmore 18 Year Old, a single malt bottled at 43% ABV. It starts in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, which give a base of soft vanilla and honey.
It then has an extended finish in 30 year old Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks from the Gonzalez Byass bodega in Spain, exclusive to the distillery.
The nose combines vanilla, dark chocolate, English marmalade and sweet liquorice. On the palate are chocolate raisins, juicy citrus fruits, rich coffee, nutmeg and spice, and the finish carries stewed fruits and toffee.
