The Dalmore 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the distillery at Alness, bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle. It belongs to the distillery's Principal Collection and is a core bottling rather than a special edition.
The whisky is matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and in Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks that are 30 years old.
On the nose it shows vanilla, dark chocolate, English marmalade and sweet liquorice. The palate brings chocolate raisins, citrus fruits, rich coffee, nutmeg and spice, and the finish is stewed fruits and toffee.
