The Dalmore – 18 Year Select Edition Distilled in 2005

An 18 year old single malt from The Dalmore, distilled in 2005 and released as part of The Vintage Collection. It is a limited release, natural colour and non-chill filtered. The whisky was matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, then enhanced with hand-selected Matusalem Sherry casks and Vintage 2005 Sherry casks. Only a handful of casks with distinguishing attributes are chosen from any one year and married together. The nose offers milk chocolate, caramel, mandarin and cracked black pepper. On the palate there is Manuka honey, sweet cacao, poached apples and golden sultanas, and the finish brings vanilla cream, chocolate brioche, Navelina orange and light cinnamon warmth.
