The Dalmore 18 Years is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, from the distillery at Alness.
It is matured first in American oak ex-bourbon casks. Part of the whisky is then moved into 30-year-old ex-Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks from the Gonzalez Byass collection, which add rich chocolate notes.
The nose combines vanilla, chocolate, orange and cinnamon. The palate shows coffee, candied fruit and nutmeg, leading to a citrus finish with coffee and cocoa.
