This is a 25 year old single malt from The Dalmore, bottled at 42% ABV. The spirit is first matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, which give soft vanilla and honey notes.
The whisky is then divided between casks that held 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso sherry and Tawny Port pipes. It is brought back together in a first-fill ex-Bourbon barrel, under Master Distiller Gregg Glass.
The nose is exotic fruits, citrus, vanilla pods, treacle toffee and fig cake. The palate shows Madagascan vanilla, thick treacle toffee and chocolate truffles, and the finish is maple syrup, dark chocolate and spiced gingerbread.
