The Dalmore Quintet is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, combining five types of cask after an ex-bourbon start. The whisky first matures in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, which give a base of soft vanilla and honey. It is then divided between Moscatel casks, Malmsey Madeira barrels, Matusalem sherry casks, aged Port pipes and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques. The five parts are brought back together, with each cask adding its own character and flavour to the whole.
