The Dalmore – Select Edition 2006 18 Year Old (75cl, 47.2%)

The Dalmore Select Edition 2006 is an 18 year old single malt from the Highlands, released in an annual series of hand-selected casks that each capture the character of a particular year at the distillery. It is bottled at 47.2% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky was matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, then enhanced with hand-selected Matusalem and Amoroso sherry casks. The nose offers sherry-soaked raisins, roasted figs, cedar wood and honey. On the palate, dark fruit mingles with liquorice and cacao before bergamot and blood orange appear. The finish carries old sherry notes, with berries, liquorice, cassia bark and dark chocolate.
