The Dalmore Select Edition 2006 is an 18-year-old Highland single malt, distilled in 2006 and bottled at 47.2% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The spirit first matured in American white-oak ex-bourbon barrels, then moved into selected Matusalem and Amoroso sherry casks to finish.
The nose offers sherry-soaked raisins, roasted fig, cedar, honey and a touch of saffron. On the palate come prune-like dried fruit, brown sugar, gingerbread, liquorice and cacao, with bergamot, blood-orange peel and warm oak. The finish is long, with berries, liquorice, cassia bark and dark chocolate.
