The Deacon Blended Scotch Whisky (75cl, 40%)

The Deacon is a smoky blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It was made by Sovereign Brands in collaboration with Pernod Ricard and launched in February 2023. The blend combines peaty Islay single malts for smoky depth with mainland malts for a bonfire-like smokiness. It comes in an embossed metallic copper bottle inspired by copper pot stills, with a masked character on the label. The nose is charred orange, sweet malty biscuits and woodsmoke. The palate brings juicy orange, delicate spice and tangy peat. The finish is long and smooth, sweet and smoky.
