The Deacon is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40%. It combines smoky malts from Speyside with peated malts from Islay, along with grain whiskies, and its character centres on smoke and peat. The nose brings earthy smoke, burnt wood and candied citrus. The palate opens with balanced peat, followed by orange, spiced cake and light caramel. The finish is soft and smoky, with a slight sweetness.
