The Deacon Blended Scotch Whisky (70cl)

The Deacon is a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, made from smoky Speyside malts and peaty Islay malts. The name comes from the Scots word for a skilled master tradesman, and the blend is intended as a tribute to master craftspeople in any trade. The Islay malts bring a characteristic peaty smoke, while the mainland malts give a smoke closer to a bonfire. The bottle carries an ornate pattern and a stamped mascot, and its copper shine echoes the pot stills used in distillation. On the nose it shows charred orange, sweet malty biscuits and woodsmoke. Juicy orange, delicate spice and tangy peat follow on the palate, and the finish is sweet, smoky and long.
