The Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey 5 Year Old (70cl, 44%)

The Dead Rabbit is an Irish blended whiskey that combines malt and grain whiskey. It is bottled at 44% in a 70cl bottle. It matured for five years in ex-bourbon casks and was then finished in casks half the size of the first, made from new American oak. It came out of a collaboration between the New York bar The Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog and The Dublin Liberties Distillery. Cedar and vanilla stand out on the nose. The palate is full-bodied, with dark chocolate, orange and oak, and the finish holds buttery pastry and spices.
