The Deveron 10 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the Macduff distillery in northern Aberdeenshire, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured for ten years in oak casks.
Macduff was founded in 1960 near the mouth of the River Deveron, where the river meets the North Sea. Its five small copper stills and unusual horizontal condensers are set up for a light, fruity distillery character.
Fresh green apple leads the aroma, with soft toffee, vanilla and creamy oak notes.
