The Deveron 12 Year Old is an unpeated Highland single malt from Macduff Distillery on the Aberdeenshire coast, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It was matured for a minimum of 12 years in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
It arrived in 2015 as part of the Last Great Malts collection and is made in five small stills. Toasted grain and apples sit at its centre, with a seaborne spice.
The nose brings sweet baking spice, toffee apples and ginger. On the palate come butterscotch, waxy malt and apple pie, and the finish is wood spice and vanilla.
