The Dublin Liberties – Oak Devil (70cl, 46%)

Oak Devil is an Irish whiskey from The Dublin Liberties, made in Dublin and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Its name comes from the Liberties neighbourhood and its dark legends and old rivalries. The whiskey was matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in sherry casks, which brings together sweet, spicy and slightly smoky notes. The nose is sweet vanilla, ripe red fruits and light spices. On the palate come toffee, oak, pepper and raisins, with a subtle sherry sweetness. The finish is medium to long, warm, spicy and led by wood.
