The Famous Grouse is a blended Scotch whisky at 40%, in a 75cl bottle. It is one of Scotland's best-selling blends, built around Highland single malts, including spirit from Glenturret, and married with grain whisky. It carries no age statement.
The profile is smooth and gently sherried.
The nose has dried fruit, sherry and malt with a hint of oak. On the palate, sweet sherried fruit, toffee and gentle spice sit over a soft malty base. The finish is medium and warming, with light smoke and oak.
