The Famous Grouse Ruby Cask is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is finished in casks seasoned with ruby port.
It is the second release in the Famous Grouse Cask Series, following the Bourbon Cask, and was created by Master Blender Kirsteen Campbell with Master of Wood Stuart MacPherson. It first launched in the UK in 2018.
The nose is soft vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. The palate has a mellow red-fruit sweetness reminiscent of fruitcake, and the finish is smooth and gently spiced, with port-cask fruit that lingers.
