The First Millionaire American Malted Barley Whiskey (75cl, 45%)

The First Millionaire is an American whiskey made from 100% malted barley at Calistoga Depot Distillery in Calistoga, Napa Valley, California. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It spent four years in previously filled French oak casks that once held Napa Valley wine. The name honours Samuel Brannan, who announced the 1848 Gold Rush, became California's first millionaire and went on to found Calistoga and build its depot in 1868. Baked brown sugar, green apple and charred citrus come through on the nose. The palate offers caramel, clove and toasted oak, with an apple pie warmth on the finish.
