The Glen Grant Exploration Series No. 1 is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was first matured in bourbon barrels and then finished in rum casks.
The nose has soft stone fruits, candied orange, banana and creamy oak vanilla. On the palate, floral vanilla gives way to muscovado sugar, malt loaf and warm spiced banana bread. The finish is silky, with pineapple pulp, tropical sweetness and gentle nutmeg.
It can be taken neat or with a splash of water.
