This is a 15-year-old Speyside single malt from The GlenAllachie, bottled at 46%. The distillery has been making single malt since 1967 and is one of Scotland's few remaining independents. Billy Walker is its Master Distiller.
The distillery describes a rich mahogany colour. The nose offers heather honey, dark chocolate and figs, with fruit cake, mocha and cinnamon. The palate brings fig syrup, mocha and treacle, then dark chocolate, sweet spices and heather honey, and the finish carries ginger.
