This is a 2014 vintage single malt from The GlenAllachie in Speyside, part of the Sinteis Series. It is a limited edition, bottled at natural cask strength.
The whisky was matured in a pairing of Chinquapin oak casks and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The nose brings dark chocolate, honeycomb, toasted oak and dried fruits. On the palate come treacle, roasted nuts, cinnamon and raisins with a hint of vanilla. The finish is long and warming, with sweetness that lingers from the Pedro Ximénez.
