This is a 35 year old single malt from The GlenAllachie, distilled in 1990 and created by Master Distiller Billy Walker. It was matured in four cask types: Mizunara virgin oak, American virgin oak, Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximénez sherry.
The Mizunara is Japanese oak from trees up to 200 years old. Here it is balanced by the three other casks.
It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 50.2% ABV, without chill filtration or added colour. Cocoa, spices, dried fruit, honey and warm oak are the notes described.
