The GlenDronach 14 Year Boynsmill House Edition is a Highland single malt released for the distillery's 200th anniversary. GlenDronach was established in 1826, and this edition honours its origins and its founder, James Allardice. It is bottled at 46.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured for 14 years in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, together with a selected proportion of Claret red wine casks, which add red fruit, dark berries and gentle tannin. The gift box is illustrated with Boynsmill House.
The flavours described are dark fruits, raisins, Highland toffee, roasted hazelnuts, ripe stone fruit, chocolate caramel and warming oak spice, with a smooth, lingering finish.
