The Glendronach Port Wood is a Highland single malt finished for three years in port casks from Portugal's Douro Valley. It draws on Scotland's 19th-century history of importing port in cask.
It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with no added colouring.
The nose is sweet, with summer berries, cherry blossom and honeysuckle, and a lively edge of fresh ginger. The palate offers apple crumble, wild berries and sweet gingerbread. The finish is warm and fruity, with lingering spice.
