The GlenDronach Vintage 1993 is a 28 year old single malt from a single Oloroso sherry puncheon, cask 4195, bottled at a cask strength of 52.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The cask was filled in 1993 and the whisky bottled in 2022, giving 664 hand-numbered bottles.
It is non-chill filtered, with natural colour, and was hand-selected by Master Blender Rachel Barrie for the distillery's cask bottling series.
The nose offers spiced dried fruits, walnuts, roasted coffee beans and burnt caramel. On the palate come spiced fruitcake, walnut, dark chocolate and treacle with fresh coffee, and the finish carries oak spice, sweet molasses and a little espresso bitterness.
