This is a single cask GlenDronach distilled in 1993 and matured for 28 years in an Oloroso sherry puncheon, cask 4197. It was selected by Master Blender Rachel Barrie and bottled at a cask strength of 52.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is non-chill filtered and of natural colour, and each bottle is hand-numbered. GlenDronach, founded in 1826, is in the Highlands.
The nose is crème brûlée with baked apple, sultana and grape, wrapped in dark manuka honey and cinnamon. The palate offers apple, grape and sultana with cinnamon, toasted walnut and lingering caramelised nutmeg. The finish is rich and long lasting.
