This is The Glenlivet 12 Year Old, a single malt from the Banffshire distillery, bottled in the 1970s by George & J.G. Smith Ltd at 43% in a 94.6cl bottle. Glenlivet is known as the oldest licensed distillery in Scotland. George Smith secured his licence to distil legally in 1824, and the distillery stayed family-run until 1978. The 12 year old was the entry-level Glenlivet for many decades, until Founder's Reserve replaced it in 2015.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
