The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Double Oak is a Speyside single malt that matures first in European oak and then in American oak casks. This edition carries a French label and is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
Its fruity Speyside character brings pineapple and banana together with peach, pear and meadow-flower notes, with vanilla, caramel and mild oak.
The nose shows pineapple and vanilla, with honey, fresh grass, a creamy malt note and a floral hint. On the palate, pineapple, ripe peach and pear meet vanilla and toffee, sweet and soft. The finish is soft and long, with vanilla and lightly toasted, spicy oak, then citrus, marzipan and fresh hazelnuts.
