The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Provence Edition is a Speyside single malt in a 750ml bottle, at 40% ABV. It is the second release in the distillery's Beyond Speyside Series.
After twelve years of maturation, the whisky is finished in previously unused French sweet wine casks and Provence Cru Classé casks, wine barrels that once held rosé.
The nose brings sun-warmed florals, ripe white peach, roasted almonds and citrus. The palate is soft and creamy, with apricot, red berry compote, pear and a little white pepper, and the finish is silky and lightly drying, with strawberry, almond and citrus peel.
