The Glenlivet 12 Years Old Licensed Dram is a single malt Scotch whisky from a limited edition series called The Original Stories. It was matured in first fill double oak and bottled in Scotland at 48% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fruity and sweet, with ripe peaches and pears, strawberry jam and honey, balanced by gingerbread, cinnamon and creamy vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and velvety: golden honey and vanilla custard give way to malted biscuits, toasted oak, hazelnut, clove and white pepper.
The finish is medium to long and warm, with lingering dark caramel, ginger and a little citrus.
