The Glenlivet 15 Year French Oak Reserve is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky aged for 15 years. It is finished in French Limousin oak casks, of a type traditionally used for cognac.
The French oak is credited with a creamy texture, spice and a toasted character, and the whisky is full-bodied.
The nose offers buttery toffee, honey, ripe pear, sweet almond, cinnamon and toasted oak. On the palate it is rich and velvety, with vanilla, caramel, baked apple, creamy oak, nutmeg and gentle spice. The finish is long and warming, with sweet spice, toasted oak, honey and soft fruit.
