The Glenlivet – 18 Year Old Batch Reserve (70cl, 40%)

The Glenlivet 18 Year Old Batch Reserve is a Speyside single malt, an original distillery bottling at 40% in a 70cl bottle. This is the French market version. It combines whisky matured for at least 18 years in first-fill and second-fill American oak casks and in ex-sherry casks. The American oak brings a tropical, fruity character, while the ex-sherry casks add spicy complexity. Citrus, fruity sweetness and spice are joined by vanilla and dark chocolate. The nose offers full fruit with toffee. The palate is balanced, with clear sweet orange, ripe citrus fruit and winter spices. The finish is long, with raisins and spice.
