The Glenlivet 18 Year Old Batch Reserve is a Speyside single malt bottled at 40% ABV. It is matured for at least 18 years in first-fill and second-fill American oak barrels, together with ex-sherry casks.
On the nose there are apricot, dried pear, toffee and honey, with toasted oak and a little baking spice. The palate is smooth and medium-bodied, with dried apricot, fig and citrus marmalade alongside vanilla and caramel. The finish is long and warm, with oak spice, mild tannin and a fading echo of dried fruit and vanilla.
