An 18-year-old Speyside single malt from The Glenlivet, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The spirit is double distilled, and the distillery uses traditional wooden washbacks.
It is matured in a combination of first- and second-fill American oak and European oak casks. The American oak is credited with tropical fruit notes and the European oak with a bold spiciness.
The nose shows dried fruits, particularly mango, with toffee and a hint of spice. The palate is creamy, with honey and vanilla, then ripe oranges, raisins, ginger and oak. The finish is long, with butterscotch, lemon and a faint trace of smoke.
