Over the eighteen years, the Glenlivet master distiller, Alan Winchester, brings the whisky together from a combination of cask types. First-fill and second-fill American oak is used for tropical fruit character, and ex-sherry oak for spiced complexity.
The result is described as complex yet elegant and balanced.
