The Glenlivet 25 Year Old is a single malt Scotch finished across two kinds of cask: first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry and Tronçais oak Cognac. The finish adds richness to the smooth, fruity house style of The Glenlivet.
The sherry casks are described as bringing sweet fig and blood orange, while the Cognac casks add warming ginger, toasted oak and a hint of charred pineapple. The colour runs through rich amber and golden shades.
The finish is very long and sweet, with gentle spice.
