The Glenlivet – Caribbean Reserve (75cl, 40%)

The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve is a Speyside single malt without an age statement, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It is the first Glenlivet to use rum barrels. A portion of the malt is finished in Caribbean rum barrels and blended back with the rest, adding tropical fruit to the distillery's smooth, fruity character. The nose offers sweet pear and apple with ripe banana in syrup. On the palate there is rich caramel toffee with mandarin orange, vanilla and honeydew melon, leading to a citrusy, very smooth finish.
