The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve is a Speyside single malt bottled at 40% ABV. It is matured in traditional oak casks and then finished in Caribbean rum barrels, which add tropical fruit and soft brown-sugar sweetness to the distillery's fruit-forward spirit.
The nose is lively, with ripe pear, red apple and banana cream alongside vanilla, light caramel, toasted oak and honey. The palate is soft and rounded, led by toffee, golden syrup, pineapple and mango, with citrus peel and gentle oak spice. The finish is smooth and mildly sweet, with vanilla fudge, a hint of rum and lingering fruit fading into soft spice and malt.
