This is a single malt Scotch whisky from The Glenlivet, matured in American and European oak and then selectively finished in a recrafted cask built from two. The finishing cask combines ex-Spanish sherry cask staves with charred European oak. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers ripe pear and fresh honey with warm cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. The palate brings sweet plums, intense dried fruit, grilled pineapple, toasted oak spice and a subtle hint of smoke. The finish is long, sweet and rich, leaving a pleasant spiced aftertaste.
