The Glenlivet – Founder's Reserve American Oak Selection (70cl, 40%)

This is a Speyside single malt from The Glenlivet, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle and carrying no age statement. It combines traditional oak casks with first-fill casks of American oak, which support a creamy sweetness alongside the fruity character. Founder's Reserve joined the range in 2015 as a tribute to George Smith, who founded the distillery. Tasting notes describe fine citrus, especially sweet orange, with creamy vanilla and a hint of honey on the nose. The palate brings lively sweet orange and pear, with a suggestion of toffee apple. The finish is long, creamy and soft.
