The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is a Speyside single malt in a 20cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It draws on the method developed by the distillery's founder, George Smith, almost two centuries ago, and is distilled in narrow copper stills.
The whisky is matured in oak casks, including new American oak, which add a soft, creamy sweetness alongside the fresh fruit.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with citrus and sweet apple. The palate brings ripe apples and pears with creamy sweetness and a little vanilla, and the finish is soft, with lingering fruit and a light creamy sweetness.
