Founder's Reserve is a Speyside single malt from The Glenlivet, bottled at 40% ABV and non-chill-filtered. It is matured in a mix of American and European oak casks, with an emphasis on early-maturation casks to keep the distillery's fresh malt character.
The nose is fresh orchard fruit, pear and green apple, with light vanilla, soft malt and a gentle cereal sweetness. The palate is smooth and mellow, with green apple, honeyed malt, vanilla, subtle oak and a faint almond or biscuit note. The finish is clean and light, with a gentle echo of fruit and grain and a hint of oak spice.
