The Glenlivet – Fusion Cask Selection Rum & Bourbon (75cl, 40%)

The Glenlivet Fusion Cask Selection is a Speyside single malt bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was launched in February 2024 as part of The Glenlivet's 200th-anniversary celebrations. The whisky matured in bespoke fusion casks. Coopers took apart first-fill rum barrels and first-fill bourbon barrels, then rebuilt them as single casks, so both woods shaped one maturation. Official tasting notes describe orange, vanilla custard, caramel, coconut and lemon zest on the nose, then apricot, peach, toffee-covered banana and cinnamon on the palate, with a sweet, smooth finish and lingering orange.
