The Glenlivet Groundbreaker Collection Chapter 1: The Journey Inward is a single malt Scotch whisky made in collaboration with Red Hong Yi, bottled at 40% in a one-litre bottle.
It is matured in American and European oak casks, then selectively finished in charred American oak and European red wine casks.
The nose offers fresh blueberries, juicy red apples, caramelised pears, glazed cherries and orange peel, with sweet notes of oak char and crystallised ginger. On the palate, juicy plums meet ripe bananas, raspberry jam, caramel wafers and nutmeg. The finish is warm, spiced and slightly dry.
