The Glenlivet Royal Wedding Reserve is a 25 year old single malt Scotch whisky, and this is bottle number 419. The whisky is amber in colour.
The nose is meaty, with several kinds of dried fruit, old balsamic vinegar, leather, old Madeira, mushrooms and a cigar humidor character. With water, mint, camphor and black raisins appear.
On the palate it opens with spices and bitter oranges, with blackcurrants, chocolate, prunes and old armagnac behind. Water brings ginger, white pepper and more bitter orange. The finish is fairly long, with ginger, pepper and cinchona, and bitter orange in the aftertaste.
